MeiMai is the name of the German-Chinese joint venture company in which MK Technology has been participating with a 50 per cent share since its foundation in the year 2014. The modern production facility is conveniently located in the Technopark of Fuho about 45 minutes South-East of Shanghai. Being providers in the field of Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Tooling, they manufacture plastic and metal parts for the Chinese market within the shortest possible time - of course with systems of MK Technology. In addition to vacuum casting and technologies for quick investment casting, prototypes as well as serial parts for sand and precision casting have been successfully manufactured here for the last four years with sand and PMMA printers of the German company Voxeljet.
Due to the success, the two German companies Voxeljet and MK Technology decided to start another Joint Venture together with the Chinese partner, the company Metang. Directly across the existing company MeiMai at Fuho, a modern 8.000 m2 production hall with a four-stories office complex will be constructed. This space is required, because in the future the largest 3D printers in the world are to work here and to manufacture sand moulds and cores with sizes of up to 4 metres.
The opening is scheduled for the third quarter of this year - another milestone in the success story of MK Technology.
